Benficial Properties include:

Non-stick & release – such coating properties improve performance, increase efficiency & reduce downtime in moulding & manufacturing processes. Industries including food, tyre, plastic, rubber, oil & gas all routinely make use of non stick/release coatings such as Teflon & Xylan.

Friction control – coating a component with a dry film lubricant will extend its life, reduce wear, improve stick/slip properties, eliminate noise & create a low friction surface. The automotive & fastener industries have for many years used the benefits of these coatings e.g. Xylan, Teflon, Molykote, Emralon & Berucoat.

Chemical & corrosion resistance – a coating that can stop chemical attack & slow the rate of corrosion will save the user money, increase efficiency & solve many problems. Coatings such as Xylan, Molykote, Nylon & Suncorite are widely used by the oil, gas, nuclear & water industries to good effect.

Abrasion & wear resistance – reducing the effects of abrasion & wear on a component will improve its performance & extend its life. Xylan & Molykote are the preferred coatings for a multitude of industries looking for a competitive advantage.

Extreme temperature resistance– components that need to perform in hostile temperature environments would benefit from the protective use of Xylan or Senotherm. Such coatings will survive down to -195’c & up to +850’c.

Cosmetic & colour coding– an added benefit of the use of PTFE & MSo2 based coatings is the range of colours available to enhance a components cosmetic appearance, its visibility & traceability.

Electrical insulation or conductivity – the use of certain types of plastic coatings have for many years insulated such things as buzz bars & some PTFE coatings can improve conductivity on items such as photocopier rollers.

Noise reduction & stick slip –coating a component with a dry film lubricant will extend its life, reduce wear, improve stick/slip properties, eliminate noise & create a low friction surface. The automotive & fastener industries have for many years used the benefits of these coatings e.g. Xylan, Teflon, Molykote, Emralon & Berucoat.
